The most important part of playing poker is to know how to use your poker face. Not only must you never let your opponents see how you feel, but bluffing is another skill that must be mastered. This is all done as a way to mislead your competition into assumptions that are false.
Anyone who has sat across from other poker players knows that your movements of lack there of can ell other players many things about you and your hand. That is also true about what you say, or don’t say that is also used against you in the game of poker. You know you can practice your poker face in the mirror to be sure you have it right. As you stand looking at yourself, think of something and notice how your face reacts, then try it again but keep your face emotionless. If you understand your facial expressions, you can learn to control them.
The eyes are the biggest giveaway. If you must make eye contact with an opponent, don’t stare to long because that long look is a giveaway just like not looking at is can be. It takes time to learn all this, but if you are serious of playing the game right, take the time needed to be the best player you can be.
